Traits and Passive Power
Traits are permanent passive rolls similar to Race — they modify damage, defense, cooldowns, or utility without changing your spec animations. After Rebirth, three traits dominate the meta: Limit Breaker for raw DPS scaling, Ancient One for hybrid sustain, and Honored One for PvP burst amplification.
Trait rerolls use Gems and tokens from codes like BrightFutureAhead! and ReturnOfTheStrongest. Lock a trait before heavy fruit or spec rerolling so your baseline passive is secure. Cross-reference Race tier list and Spec tier list on the tier list hub.
S-Tier — Limit Breaker
Limit Breaker is the default S-tier pick for PvE DPS mains running Jin Mori, Light Fruit, or Divine Bident. It pushes damage ceilings during long fights where other traits plateau — Glacier mob loops, Thragg tickets, and Yhwach material farms all benefit.
Pair Limit Breaker with Demon Race 25% Power for multiplicative gains. The trait does not help players who die frequently; invest in Haki and Blood Fruit sustain first if survivability is your bottleneck, then reroll traits.
- Best for: PvE DPS, Jin Mori, ticket farming.
- Synergy: Demon Race, Light Fruit, Divine Bident.
- Reroll priority: First or second after Race.
S-Tier — Ancient One
Ancient One balances offense and defense for players who want one trait for both PvE and PvP without maintaining alts. It offers damage bonuses with built-in damage reduction that smooths learning curves in Jujutsu Highschool PvP hotspots.
Ancient One is ideal if you are unsure whether to main PvE or PvP — you sacrifice peak Limit Breaker DPS and peak Honored One burst, but gain consistency across all content.
S-Tier PvP — Honored One
Honored One amplifies burst windows for Anti-Magic Sword and Kafka's Katana PvP setups. When you land a counter, Honored One multipliers often decide the duel before opponents can fruit escape or heal.
Honored One underperforms in long PvE boss fights compared to Limit Breaker because burst windows matter less against million-HP targets. PvP mains should still prioritize Honored One over Ancient One if duels are your primary session goal.
Trait Reroll Order
Recommended order for most accounts: Demon Race → Limit Breaker → Haki unlock → Light Fruit or Jin Mori spec. PvP-focused accounts swap Limit Breaker for Honored One after Race. Never reroll off S-tier traits unless Vox's House patch notes explicitly nerf them — Gem waste hurts more than staying on a slightly suboptimal fruit.
