Swords and Blades
Rogue Piece Rebirth swords guide: starter Katana, Dark Blade, Yuta's Katana, Divine Bident stats, vendors, and quest unlock paths.
Sword Progression Overview
Swords are the backbone combat slot in Rogue Piece Rebirth for players who prefer consistent LMB/RMB combos over Devil Fruit ability RNG. After the Rebirth reset, every account buys the starter Katana for 2,500 Beli on Windmill Village, then upgrades through vendor blades, Forge crafts, and quest rewards like Yuta's Katana. Swords scale with mastery books, Haki tiers, and enchantments from late-game accessories.
Your sword tier should roughly match your island era — Katana through Windmill and early Whispering Jungle, Dark Blade through Sandora and Glacier, quest katana lines before Jujutsu Highschool, and Divine Bident for endgame Thragg/Yhwach min-maxing. Mixing a starter Katana with level 2,000 Glacier mobs signals it is time to upgrade, not time to roll another Devil Fruit.
Katana (Starter Sword)
The Katana costs 2,500 Beli from the Windmill Village sword vendor and is the first mandatory purchase in the early game walkthrough. It unlocks proper sword combos that double mob clear speed on Bandit Hill compared to starter fists. Do not skip this purchase for early rerolls — no Devil Fruit at mid-tier rates beats Katana plus Haki for levels 100 through 500.
Katana remains viable on Whispering Jungle until mob health outpaces two-rotation kills. Sell or stash the Katana only after equipping Dark Blade or a quest replacement — some achievements track Katana mastery separately.
Dark Blade
Dark Blade is the first major vendor or Forge upgrade most players chase after saving Beli on Sandora. It bridges mid game before quest swords drop. Craft or purchase requirements shift with Rebirth patches — check Forge NPC dialogue on the NPC locations page for current material lists involving Whispering Jungle and Glacier drops.
Pair Dark Blade with Haki unlocked at 200,000 Beli before attempting Glacier world bosses. Dark Blade plus Haki clears Sandora pack density efficiently and prepares you for Boss Ticket farming.
Yuta's Katana (Quest Sword)
Yuta's Katana arrives through late-game quest chains tied to Jujutsu Highschool and the Sasuke storyline documented in our late game walkthrough. Steps require boss drops from Sukuna or Yuta spawn windows, Fragment of Rogue stacks, and Abyss Hill materials. This is not a Beli vendor purchase — rushing the quest under-level wastes Boss Tickets.
Yuta's Katana competes with other quest blades for PvP specs — consult our Specs tier list before sacrificing materials if you main a spec that prefers different weapon types.
Divine Bident
Divine Bident sits at the top of published sword tier lists for raw PvE burst on Thragg and Yhwach when paired with max Haki and enchantments. Unlock paths involve endgame Forge recipes, Hogyoku costs, and Fragment of Rogue totals from our materials guide. Budget weeks of Glacier and Jujutsu Highschool farming — Divine Bident is a milestone, not a mid-game impulse buy.
Maintain a backup sword for PvP matchups where swing speed matters more than raw poke damage. Divine Bident shine in coordinated boss parties with ticket refunds on clear.
Sword Mastery and Haki Synergy
Books of Mastery from promo codes accelerate sword skill unlocks — apply them after equipping Dark Blade or better, not on the Windmill Katana you replace within hours. Haki armament tiers multiply sword combo damage more reliably than gambling on fruit rolls before level 1,500.
Test sword swaps on Sandora mob packs before paying Forge fees twice in one session. Our controls guide covers LMB/RMB cancel tech that higher-tier swords assume you know before Glacier boss farms.
PvP Sword Considerations
Divine Bident and Yuta's Katana skew PvE burst — PvP may favor faster swing swords depending on spec. Review PvP builds before burning Fragment of Rogue on a PvE-only upgrade when you main arena content.
Block timing with RMB varies per sword model — re-test after every upgrade on training mobs near Rogue Town docks.
