Beginner Katana Build
Best beginner build for Rogue Piece Rebirth after Rebirth: Katana sword, Windmill Village Bandit quests, Beli savings, and level 1–200 farming route.
Why Katana and Quests First
The beginner build for Rogue Piece Rebirth centers on two cheap, reliable pillars: the Katana sword and the Windmill Village Bandit quest chain. After Vox's House wiped progress in the Rebirth reset, every account starts on the same beach with zero Beli, no fruit, and no Haki. Chasing rare specs or Logia fruits before you finish early quests is the fastest way to stall. The Katana costs only 2,500 Beli from the sword vendor near Windmill Village spawn, and Bandit quests pay enough XP and Beli to reach level 100 without leaving the island.
This guide assumes you play sword-first with no Devil Fruit until mid game unless you roll something excellent from a free code box. Katana combos are simple—Left Mouse Button chains on PC, tap attacks on mobile—and they teach spacing, sprint canceling, and quest interaction before you add fruit cooldowns or spec animations.
Katana Purchase and Combos
Buy the Katana as soon as you have 2,500 Beli, usually after the first few Bandit kills and one quest hand-in. Equip it from inventory and practice a three-hit LMB string on bandits south of Windmill Village. Sprint with Shift (PC) or the sprint button (mobile), slash, backstep, and repeat. The Katana outdamages fists immediately and unlocks smoother farming for Bandit Hill mobs between quest steps.
Do not upgrade to expensive swords yet. Cutlass and higher tiers belong in mid game when you have Haki and island travel unlocked. Every Beli point between level 1 and 200 should either buy the Katana, pay for boat travel later, or sit in savings for the 200,000 Beli Haki purchase described in our mid game walkthrough.
- Cost: 2,500 Beli at Windmill Village sword shop.
- Primary skill: LMB combo chain (PC) or attack button (mobile).
- Goal: one-shot Bandit Hill trash mobs by level 150.
- Avoid: fruit gacha and spec rerolls before level 200.
Windmill Village Bandit Quest Chain
Talk to the Bandit quest NPC on Windmill Village and accept each step in order. Early quests ask you to defeat bandits in numbered counts; later steps send you to Bandit Hill elites. Always finish the active quest before server hopping, because progress tracks per session. Quest XP scales with your level band, so rushing through the chain while equipping the Katana is faster than idle grinding on low-tier mobs.
Pair quests with targeted farming: if a quest needs ten bandits, clear extras for Beli until the next quest unlocks. When the chain pauses between arcs, farm Bandit Hill mini-bosses if they spawn nearby—they drop larger Beli bundles that accelerate your Haki savings. Read the early game walkthrough for exact level checkpoints and NPC locations.
Stats, Codes, and Rerolls
Redeem Rebirth launch codes from our active codes page for Beli, Gems, and reroll capsules. Put Beli toward Katana and savings, not cosmetic rolls. Use free Race or Trait rerolls from codes if you pull something with damage or XP bonuses, but ignore Haki rerolls until you own base Haki in mid game.
Allocate stat points into damage and health evenly early on. You respec later at cost, so prioritize feel-good leveling over min-max spreadsheets. Limit Breaker trait and damage-boosting Race rolls are nice bonuses but never required to clear Windmill Village.
When to Graduate
Leave this beginner build around level 150–200 when Bandit Hill dies in one combo and you have 50,000+ Beli banked toward Haki. Move to Whispering Jungle following the walkthrough, buy Haki at 200,000 Beli in mid game, then read the PvE build guide for Jin Mori, Divine Bident, and Light Fruit. If you prefer PvP early, finish Haki first anyway—every duelist path needs it.
